Lovely quiet, tranquil property

The gardens are beautiful.

There are no doors on the bathrooms and the toilets are right facings where the doors should be so expect a front row seat of what ever your room mate is doing in that room. We are traveling with two teenagers and they were not ready for that experience. Just not having a room where they could close the door when changing clothes or having a shower was already unsettling. We are on a two week trip around the Netherlands and were running low on clean laundry so we specifically picked this place because it had a washer and dryer. When we arrived we were told that the washer was only to be used by people who stay multiple days but we could do one load. We had planned on three loads when we booked the place. The dryer that was shown in the pictures of the property listing has been removed and we were given a drying rack in stead.

Room temperature was preset - comfortable but not warm

The decor was beautifully done- very stylish.

I think for the price it would reasonable to expect shampoo and body wash/soap in the bathroom. I also had to ask for tea bags as there were none. We couldn’t get the heater/radiator to work and the nights were cool. It would be helpful to have a booklet/pamphlet/instructions on how to operate what’s in the house, where the closest shop is, where takeaways and restaurants are, etc.

Beautiful historic farm with flower garden. Perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature and visit Friesland. Very friendly host that makes you feel more than welcome. The apartment we stayed was lovely, decorated with very fine taste, very comfortable beds and it provides everything you need. We had an amazing stay.
