We got the split apartment, and it was newly renovated. The two bedrooms have their own bathroom each (with shower), which is very convenient. Comfortable beds and pillows and spacious bedrooms. The upper floor hosts a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room, with nice and comfortable furniture. There is a dishwasher but no washing machine. The house is situated in a farm in a small village about 25 min far from the centre of Groningen, so I recommend having a car if you want to stay here and visit the surrounding area and the city. The area is beautiful with many small towns.

The staircase to the upper floor is very steep so it could be an issue if someone had small kids. The owner does offer a guard for the staircase but going up and especially down can be tricky for little feet :-)
