Welcome in - Appartement met zonnige tuin - Kievitenlaan 1 - Veere 'Nescio'

The apartment was OK, nothing special, with dim lighting, minimal amenities (no decent-sized teacups), and clearly set up for guests with low expectations. However, the location was convenient, parking was easy, and there was no noise or disturbance from neighbors or traffic.

The apartment was difficult to find, since the numbering of units in the complex is non-intuitive. The lockbox for the keys was old and hard to use, so it took us several tries before we were able to get the keys. Once in, we found the interior was freezing cold (15C), and turning on the heat made no difference. Also, the beds were not made, and dirty linens were stacked in the hallway. The Wifi information in the check-in instructions were incorrect. We had to find the router and scan the QR code on it to get access. We called the support number, and spoke with some call-center staff who were clearly unfamiliar with the place. After several calls spanning several hours, we finally got the floor heating working. Also, some person who spoke neither English nor Dutch came by around 9 pm with clean linens, towels and kitchen dishwashing supplies. Turned out there wasn't even a trash bag in the kitchen trashcan. No soap, shampoo or any amenities in the bathroom. After a very frustrating and difficult evening, we finally got the place in a habitable condition. Since we didn't use the apartment very much during our stay except to sleep at night, it was OK. By the way, there is a washing machine but no dryer and no detergent. Good luck if you are there when it is rain and cold, if you need laundry done. It was a pity, because with just a bit of care and professional staff, the place could be quite nice.

The location close to Veere is excellent. You can cycle everywhere, to the sea and inland to Middelburg. Veere is literally on the doorstep. The outside space is great. The apartment was clean.

Very basic in general. Very old furniture. No oven. Beds not particularly comfortable.
