"Thoroughly enjoy our time at the Cottage"

10.0

The cottage just had a lovely feel about it. Greeted by the hosts with some local knowledge and some free-range eggs. Our granddaughter loved the garden and really enjoyed meeting the chickens.

"Enjoyed the week there. Maybe a little long."

8.0

Interesting and quaint example of how early settlers lived

No milk in fridge on arrival. Bathroom needs a power point and a shower plumbing upgrade. Washing would be helpful for travellers. Six guests would find it difficult in small living space. Ladder upstairs needs upgrading to make it safe.

"Absolutely great historic quaint cottage in a marvellous area. For two adults this was a fantastic value for money and p"

8.0

The history of this quaint place. Location and the garden is great to sit out in. For kids the loft is a great hide out but the steep ladder “ as shown in photos by the property “ definitely is not for anyone who needs to use the facilities at night.

The sitting space is quite cramped with a very small couch , then the table with 4 chairs squeezed into the one area with the various kitchen cooking bits and bobs. I would struggle if we had more than 2 people and the weather socked out. But this is a historic cottage and the phots clearly show the cramped space , so one needs to be vigilant when planning a group stay , as it is advertised for 6.

"Classic cottage in great location, friendly host."

9.0

A lovely, historical cottage in a pretty garden. Very well equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful host. Even though the cottage is right next to the road, there is no traffic noise at night

The plumbing for the toilet should be improved. There is a noise coming from the external flap of the bathroom extractor fan which was very noisy as it was windy.

"Homely cottage in a beautiful area"

9.0

The cottage had such a warm, homely feel to it. While being an older dwelling, with so much interesting history surrounding it, it had the luxury of all the modern amenities that you'd need.

"A really pretty old cottage and garden nicely situated for all the Otago peninsular attractions"

The location, the cottage and its facilities and idiosyncrasies, the hosts, the garden

Everything was very good so there was nothing we didn't like.

"We were transported back in time to the settlers."

9.0

We were transported back in time 200 years, whilst retaining the comforts of modern day. Beautiful and well stocked garden. local walks and runs on the peninsular.

The village fish and chip shop was shut.
