The Penn Room Tagaytay at Cool Suites

I like the location of the room we stayed in bec we were able to see the taal lake from where we are and view around us, plus the sunrise and sunset.

One thing that i didn't like are the pillows. We were able to sleep comfortably eventhough the pillows are not so good. 2 of the pillows seems to be old, manipis and parang bukol bukol n, not like those pillows that are provided in some other hotels and condos. Another thing that i didn't like is the sofa and the dining table and chair, plastic chair and plastic foldable table n sobrang liit. Pwd xa gamitin s balcony lng kung mgkakape but not when eating lunch or dinner.

The property caretaker did do her utmost to rescue our stay by moving us on the second day into a different room that actually matched what we had booked and paid for.

On arrival we were told that payment by card was not accepted despite card payment being clearly advertised by the host (see 1st picture). The following items were listed as part of the Penn Room’s online description, but sadly they were all MISSING from the room: - hand sanitiser - tea/coffee maker/coffee machine - bathrobe and slippers - conditioner, instead there was a used, empty conditioner sachet left by the previous guest in the shower cubicle - enough body soap for a 3 nights stay, - kitchen trash can - alarm clock - toaster What we found impossible to accept was that the advertised “well-equipped kitchenette” contained virtually nothing to cook with, not even a single knife, no cutting board, and no cooking utensils and that we were told that we were NOT ALLOWED to cook inside the Penn Room. Why does the owner advise a "well-equipped kitchenette" if guests are not allowed to cook? The bed’s mattress was heavily sagging in the middle and should have been replaced years ago, a child’s camping table served as dinner table and a super-soft folding mattress as dinner chairs. To show how much care was taken in making us feel welcome, please take a look at the last 2 attached pictures, showing the dust on the shelves and the used conditioner sachet left for us to find in the bathroom which smelled of sweaty feet. The owner of the Penn Room clearly fails to maintain the room in a suitable condition and blatantly MISLEADs guests with the room’s UNTRUE online description.
