Since I had prepaid I tried a different room the second night, that was marginally better but too noisy to sleep much as it was facing edsa.

Sketchy people with no real security. Foreigners may not feel safe here. Loud neighbors and 24-7 noise and traffic noise except on high floors in back. Elevator to high floors crowded and slow. The other side of EDSA just 50 meters away is another world.
