The apartment is Ok. Not much equipped. Parking available in front of the house.

It was not very clean. No kitchen towels were provided. It was not easy to dry plates and glasses, etc. No instructions are given for the garbage. Television was not working properly.

Sheets and towels very clean and smelling good. Netflix on tv, nice bad, small but good kitchen.

Good value-money stay with facilities. TV with Netflix, facilities to cook and roomy bathroom.

A little unpersonal, as we had to take the key ourselves and not being welcomed

They use a key kod but the instructions were not 100% clear to us so we could not open the door. We had to phone the host so we could be let in. Luckily she answered the phone :-/

When I arrived, it was not immediately clear to me where I needed to park (one needs to drive around the building), but helpfully the host came out and directed me to the right spot, and helped me get the key to the studio. As the name suggests, there are multiple studios in the building, and I expect they will largely be the same in terms of amenities. Studio four has a spectacular view over the mountains North and West, and while it faces the road, it is very well sound-insulated and I was never bothered by road noise. Inside, the studio features everything you would need for a short or longer stay: a small but well-equipped kitchen, large double bed, sofa, kitchen table and ample seating. The bathroom was clean and modern, with a new shower cabin and heated floor. There is a TV with Netflix, and great WiFi throughout the studio. Situated just outside the town of Dalen, the area is calm and quiet, but it merely takes ten to fifteen minutes to walk into town over a safe footpath. Dalen has several grocery stores in case one wants to cook, as well as several restaurants that remain open until quite late (not always a given in Norway). Further east, the town borders on the beautiful lake Bandak, and just over the mountains to the North, one finds the Eidsborg Stave Church and the Vest-Telemark Museum. In other words, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and studio four would be an excellent place to stay for several days while one explores the surrounding area.

While the apartment complex was very quiet while I was there, the doors and walls are relatively thin so one can occasionally hear other guests. The light in the bathroom appears to be motion activated, and turned off while I was taking a shower.

The owner greeted us even when we arrived late at night :) Complete kitchen and very clean overall. Big bathroom complete with the amenities. Cozy location.

Just a little bit noisy from the pipes in the building.
