Dear sofias tagaytay gateway I would like to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at Sofia’s Tagaytay Gateway. While we were looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable experience, several issues unfortunately affected our overall satisfaction. • Lack of Communication As the check-in process is self-service, we expected clear and timely instructions to be provided in advance. Unfortunately, we did not receive any guidelines beforehand, which caused unnecessary inconvenience upon arrival. • Cleanliness Concerns We were disheartened to find that the bedding had visible stains, and the blanket had an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned, as dust was clearly visible in various areas. • Delayed Response Despite calling an hour prior to our arrival, it took a long time before we received any response. This lack of prompt communication was frustrating and unhelpful, especially after a long journey. • Incorrect Information When we inquired about nearby grocery stores, we were told that Puregold was located on the ground floor of the building. However, we later found out that it was actually situated on a different street, quite a distance away. This misinformation caused unnecessary hassle during our stay. I hope you take this feedback constructively and implement the necessary improvements to ensure better service and guest satisfaction in the future. Thank you for your time and understanding.

By the main road.

The unit was a corner lot and its only balcony space had no view at all as it was facing the other building's wall. So the pleasure of having a balcony was significantly reduced. Space to move around is quite small as there were 5 of us but sleeping arrangements were quite sufficient.

The location was good and the room was very clean. Eateries aplenty in the area with tricycles should you wish to travel further out to the taal volcano and i would recommend the starbucks overlooking the site. Room was very well priced. Comes with cookware etc

The location was good.

The bed was lumpy and the springs of the bed were already rising and uncomfortable. We went back to the place at 11pm coming back from a party we arrived back and there was NO WATER. I tried calling the custodian several times no response. I had to go downstairs and see what could be done by the guards of the property. Water was restored eventually after one hour. BEWARE: the rules of the property makes you leave your ID. I made the mistake of leaving my USA Driver’s license there I had to go back for it the next week. The property has a box of IDs that were left by accident. I called the owner of the unit and the custodian to help assist me on the matter and I said I would pay to have my ID sent to me. The owner had the audacity to solicit a feedback first before they would even confirm assistance to get my ID back. I decided to travel back there the week after to pick up my ID. I will post the text of the owner. Very disappointing 😕 There are better places to stay in Tagaytay.
