The cottage location was perfect for the beach. It had everything we needed, including a BBQ. The place was really clean and everything was really good quality. The bed was super comfy and shower was great. The hosts were great.

"A peaceful retreat in an amazing place"

The location of this cottage is great, near to the beach and secluded in a peaceful, lush garden. We were made to feel really welcome and would recommend this place for couples and small families looking for an idyllic, peaceful place to enjoy Hahei and the Coramandel

"Charming and comfortable stay in a tiny town."

Charming cottage. Decor was inviting and cozy. Bed was comfortable (a.k.a. not too hard). Nicely equipped kitchenette. Great proximity to Hot Water Beach and appreciated host's amenity of shovels for the activity. For partners who have different bed/wake times, we found the layout ideal for separating the sleeping area from the lounge/kitchenette area. The welcome binder provided a wealth of information on getting settled.

The internet was unreliable and slow. The router may be located in the main house, preventing a good connection for guests. We arrived late afternoon mid-week and had difficulty finding a restaurant that was open for dinner. The lack of functioning internet made it more difficult for identifying options or catching up on work or travel research when stuck inside during bad weather.

No breakfast was provided although, fresh home made bread was welcomed and appreciated.

"Charming Cottage in Great Location"

Great location near the beach and close to the walk to Cathedral Cove which had just opened up. Walking distance to eating places. Short drive to Hot Water Beach. Charming property set in a beautiful garden. Lots of lovely touches with a really comfortable bed and great shower.

Wonderful location. At the end of a peaceful cul de sac, tucked away behind a lovely garden. Yet, only a few minutes walk from local amenities and the beach!
