Apartament 6 Old Town

The location is indeed amazing, everything was super clean, bed is comfortable, beautiful view.

The stairs of the building had no light and I had to use my phone’s flashlight to see where I was stepping. The part that really annoyed me was the treatment of the host. I specified on my reservation (2 and a half months ago) that I would like to do an early check-in, but it was only a day prior to the arrival (when I directly asked her about that) that she said I had to pay 10PLN for each early hour. I understand this “rule” (though I think she could have made it clear since she confirmed my reservation). The main problem was that she was *extremely* rude to me when I *kindly* asked her about that. She will also demand you to pay the reservation in cash outside of Booking. I messaged her to say she didn’t have to carry such an attitude and then she changed to treating me normally. I don’t want hosts to be sweet or anything, but she 100% doesn’t care if she’s treating you in a nice manner. I don’t know if it’s legal to release screenshots of private chats so I won’t do it, but I wish I could because she’s definitely going to respond to this comment distorting the situation. Anyway, the apartment itself is nice, but I wouldn’t choose it again.

I am so disappointed by my experience with the host because the apartment is amazing. I book on booking.com and have always paid through the site before, however on this occasion I was messaged by the host to give her my number for the entry info. On WhatsApp she told me I needed to pay cash or transfer her the money that day. I transferred her the amount in pounds (the amount it was on booking.com website) but she said it was not enough with the exchange rate so I had to pay more. She called me to do this when I was already on the way to the airport. I was so shocked that when I left the apartment and thanked her over WhatsApp, the host told me I had used too many towels and If everyone used that many they’d be no point her having a business. She used emojis which showed she was annoyed at me, I’ve never been spoken too like this before. We left the apartment spotless. We used several towels from the cupboard of spare towels and bedding (there were no instructions not to do this) as there was no hand towel or bath mat and the shower door would get water all over the floor. The property was centrally located but it was hard to find in the dark at 1am especially when the taxi driver didn’t know where it was either. We had to walk around for a bit to find the correct door. The stair case has no light that stays on so you need to shine your torch in this area.

Perfect for all of central Gdansk. The property is very clean and quiet with an excellent and most helpful host who we recommend very highly. A short walk to the river and just about everything you would need. Handy shop also very close to the front door.

Well-maintained big flat all utensils and amenities were available On top of that the flat was less than 5 min walk from the old town tram stop so the connectivity was great

Only small issue was that the flat is on 3rd floor If you have a large luggage it might be little difficult to get to the flat. But it only impacts when you enter and then leave so wasn't a big issue

The location was fantastic, in the middle of the old town with a short walk to the river. Very spacious with lots of storage and the kitchen had everything you could need. The heated floor in the bathroom was lovely. Very modern and clean. We had wonderful views over the Christmas market and the lights during our stay. Entry and contact with the owner was easy and excellent. There is a small supermarket next door. We will definitely stay again!

was a bit hard to get in touch with the owner. we didn’t receive any information prior to check in and also didn’t receive any information about check out. also was asked to pay in cash not through the app.
