Golden Cliff House

It was very spacious and clean. It was more quiet because it wasn't right in Old Town, but easy walk or Uber ride to and from Old Town, where restaurants and shops are.

There was heating for December when we were there, but the house ran on the cold side. We're Americans that are very used to turning up the heater, and the house didn't warm up as well. A space heater would be great.

Freistehendes Einfamilienhaus, mit 2 geräumigen Schlafzimmern, gut eingerichteter Küche. Sicherer Parkplatz hinter dem Haus. Die Eigentümer leben im selben Haus. Helena ist sehr hilfsbereit und hilft bei allen Fragen. Sie spricht sehr gut englisch. Die Altstadt von Albufeira ist in 10 Minuten Fussmarsch gut erreichbar.

Everything was perfect! Beds lovely and comfy, apartment spacious well equipped, immaculate. Wonderful bonus of rooftop terrace with fantastic views - which we had all to ourselves during our stay, although it is shared between the three apartments at Golden Cliff House. Location ideal too - beach five minutes away, centre of town 15 mins. Lovely welcoming host too!

Very nice location. Free and available parking. Nice hostess and amazing views. Nice walk to the beach or town.

The pictures and description are misleading. It made me feel like the terrace was part of the apartment but it isn't. It's shared between all apartments. And this was the exactly why I booked this apartment. Also, the apartment was created by splitting the floor which means no windows on one side.

We had a lovely stay - just a few minutes' walk to the beach and a bit further to the Old Town. The apartment was spotless, and Helena was very kind and communicative. Fresh towels and a light cleanup were provided during our stay, which was a nice touch. Beach towels were also available - very thoughtful and convenient. The roof deck is for shared use and offers a nice space to relax. Free city parking in front of the door.

We stayed in the “Apartment with Terrace” (Apt 2) - it’s worth mentioning that there isn’t an actual terrace, but rather a small seating area in front of the apartment door, along a walkway used by other guests, so limited privacy, as the apartment door has glass panels. A few things to be aware of: Some noise from the street - mainly cars/motorbikes. Air conditioning only in the living room - to keep the bedrooms cool, the doors need to stay open. In the kitchenette, basics like olive oil and vinegar were not provided. The plastic cutting board needs to be replaced with a new one. The space is compact - fine for light travelers like us, but if you bring large suitcases, it might feel a bit tight to move around. It would also be helpful if the photos of the different units available for rent at this property were grouped or labeled by apartment, so future guests have a clearer idea of what to expect.
