The Air Conditioner worked well.

Apartment had a smell which didn’t completely go away after airing. Bathroom was moldy and the tub didn’t drain so you ended up knee deep in water by the end of your shower. Overall the place just didn’t feel very clean. There was construction and they started before 8am everyday. Apartment was noisy, you could hear when people entered the building or walked around in the stairwell or upstairs. Constant interruptions throughout the night. Lastly, maybe this was in the description but I couldn’t find it - but the apartment neighbourhood was sectioned off. Meaning taxis and Ubers couldn’t drop you off at the front door.

De ontvangst was heel goed. Wij hebben ook gebruik kunnen maken van de lockerroom voor onze bagage op te bergen. De locatie was goed. Alles goed te bereiken.

De badkamer heeft een grondige upgrade nodig. De siliconen van het bad waren allemaal beschimmelt en er hing een stank in de badkamer. Ze zijn de badkamer nog eens komen poetsen, maar zoals verwacht kan je schimmel niet verwijderen met een gewone poetsbeurt.

On day of arrival when we wanted to take a shower, within 5 minutes the whole bathroom was flooded with water as the water did not drain AND the shower doors were open at the bottom. No ventilation or window was present adding to the water damage. After spending 30 minutes cleaning and having noticed the water damages throughout the apartment, the bad smell and the excessive mold (which is bad for your health) in the bathroom, all bedrooms, the livingroom in addition to a fridge that was not cleaned, we complained to the owners. We requested to check out and a refund of our rental which was declined numerous times despite supportive interference of booking.com. As we could not use the shower without flooding the bathroom, toilet and wash basin we asked for another solution including moving to another apartment and/or compensation for a disturbing stay. There is no reception desk at the property to address your concerns so we dealt with a “whatsapp” receptionist that on the 2nd day arrived with some rubber strips instead of a plumber which is what a professional rental would do. In any case, the owner insisted numerous times there was no ground for a check out and refund or compensation and they were surprised the stay did not meet our expectations.
