Great location, very nice and clean apartment. Host gave us very good advice on what to visit and where to get a good meal.

Train station is very near, so it's very loud. There is no self checkin, so we had to pay for late checkin.

Location was excellent.

There were couple of things that could have improved overall experience: 1. While location is excellent and close to main attractions in the city, it is next to the main railway station. That can be good and bad. As there is no AC we had to keep the windows open and that allows too much constant noise and made it difficult to sound sleep. 2. Apartment was listed as having a sofa bed in hall. When we checked it is no good for sleeping. It has two tiered bed and at best that fits for kids under 6-7 years of age. 3. Table fan provided were way to small and under power to really help when it gets hot. 4. One of the table fan was not good and it's rotating action was not working. We reported that and asked to be replaced that never got any attention despite following up few time. Elevator inside the building a very tiny, so if you are used to spacious elevators like us in North America, you will be surprised. Though this is in general a problem in any old building, so not an issue with hosts or the apartment itself.

Check in was real easy and Maria was more than helpful. We were close to the old city. The sofa, where we slept with my brother, two men, was surprisingly comfortable. The two elevator solution in the building is very interesting. Service / staff was great.

It is right on the train tracks. Trains run A LOT so we slept with ear plugs and when we were home we also had to speak louder when trains left or arrived at the station.

Appartement is well equiped and the host is friendly

Too much noise from railway station, bus station and intensive traffic. It is acceptable for 1 night when you want to stay near by the transportation node or if you are going to party the whole night, but it is not relaxing environment at all.

Warming apartment, big and a lot of light, clean, close to Alfama neighborhood.

I couldn't let the luggage for two hours after the check-out (12:00). Very old building (elevator worked two days out of three), very noisy (the railway is across the street and the windows are simple).

everything is as described and as shown the pictures in the listing. Maria checked us in punctually at the agreed timing. Bed very comfortable. well equipped kitchen, convenient location

the key to the main lobby door a bit hard to handle, need a bit of getting used to

the view was beautiful
