Garden's Apartment

Lots of space for our young family of four. The garden / small outside space was a really nice bonus. Very clean and hosts were friendly

Good location, very close to the marine and city center. Clean and cozy apartment with swimming pool (water was very cold :/ ) Underground parking lot with dedicated parking place. The owner was very kind and helpful!

We really loved staying here for 6 nights. The apartment was so clean and has many amenities. We especially liked having a washing machine and a great clothes line in a sunny room, plus a drying rack. The hosts left us some fresh fruit and beautiful fresh flowers, that we enjoyed all week. An added bonus was having multiple great restaurants a short walk away. It's in a great location with an underground garage,, if you have a rented car. The patio/ garden area is a relaxing place to unwind.

Owners of apartment met me at the security gate entry to the apartment buildings. Extremely secure entry with key codes on outside gate as well as main door to the block. Beautifully clean apartment, absolutely immaculate with large rooms and comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, living area and bathroom with shower over bath. Great location to Funchal centre, about 10 mins walk. There is a hill up from Funchal centre to the apartment which keeps you fit. Little coffee shop not far from the apartment that serves amazing quality toasts and coffee and snacks, great value for money. Also there is a brilliant couple of restaurants half way done the hill, Peixaria fish restaurant which is exceptional in food and service and ambience, as well as Nygoya Japanese restaurant which offers an all you can eat lunch for 14.90 euros per person, just keep ordering between 12-3pm - sushi, skewers, rice, noodles, gyozas, sashimi. Drinks extra.

Because it is a basement flat, the drains can be a bit smelly in the bathroom, but daily liquid gel down the toilet keeps this away. Don't let this put anyone off, it's a hot country thing especially in tower blocks.

Beautifully presented apartment with all facilities in a quiet and peaceful setting with a small private garden outdoor area, adjacent to restaurants, shops and local transport, with a local park and sea walk nearby. We also enjoyed use of the shared swimming pool in the complex. The large shared swimming pool The owners were very patient with our delayed arrival.

While it didn't matter to us, the description on booking.com mentions city, mountain and landmark views which don't apply to this apartment (the owners have other apartments which may have these views).

Location and facilities were great.

Hills

We arrived early and the gentleman was at the gate to meet us. Very clean and well equipped apartment.

I do not check e mails whilst on holiday. It would have been good to leave written details of where to leave the keys.
