We were amazed at the surrounding beauty and calmness of the place. Antonio and Goreti are excellent hosts and beautiful people, and the house was super cozy and very well equipped!

Let me leave no doubt about it, this place is quite remote but I can’t wait to return. The host are great. The rooms were exceptional. There was a river down below us that made gentle noises all night there there’s lots of trails to walk on nearby.

"A cosy winter break."

The house is so cosy and comfy and had everything you need for a lovely stay. The fire is amazing, it had been lit for our arrival and there was plenty of fire wood. The village is beautiful and the hosts are really kind and friendly. A perfect short trip to relax and unwind.

"Beautiful out of the way place to stay to access the geological park"

It was spacious and comfortable. The hosts were amazing we couldn’t ask for more. So many beautiful foods were provided

The road took us by surprise it’s quite hair raising at first I’m not used to such narrow windy roads but in the end it was part of the charm

Our stay was more than amazing - it was such a special and wonderful place. The surrounding is a place of piece and heaven, it is in the middle of the nature with such a beautiful view. The house inside surprised us absolutely and let us feel like home from the very beginning. The hosts are wonderful and helpful people. It is not just a place, it's an experience to be there. The house was immaculate with fantastic facilities. Lovely furnishings with lots of nice little details and it is in a superb location. The hosts were very friendly and generous, giving little extras like fresh eggs, cake, and port. There was also a plentiful supply of wood for the wood burner. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

There was nothing that we did not like.

Very cute, very remote, very serene guest house in a tiny aldeia in the middle of hiking country. Our hosts baked a delicious surprise welcome treat and we enjoyed a quiet rest and recharge. In the morning we hiked to the tunnel and waterfall before heading to the Paiva walkways and Arouca 516. It's about 40 minutes drive to the Paiva walkways, skimming back by Arouca.

We arrived at night so the rural roads were a little intimidating but the adventure made it more worthwhile.
