Casa do Calhau

Molto bello il paese in cui si trova, vicino ad una spiaggetta carina, bar e piazzetta accoglienti. La host ci ha fatto trovare una bottiglia di benvenuto molto buona!

La casa non era come ce l’aspettavamo, il balcone è dislocato da essa. Per andarci bisogna uscire dalla casa e salire un piano. Abbiamo trovato 4 blatte durante il nostro soggiorno nonostante fossimo stati attenti a chiudere sempre le finestre e la porta. Non sappiamo come facessero ad entrare. Mancava straccio per pulire le superfici.

Nice little appartment with a roof terras in a tiny Village near the sea. Loved the quiet and calm atmosphere of the place jtself and the village.

In the appartment itself there is little view, but on the balcony there are great views of the mountains, the sea, the sound of the birds etc.

En fait la vue côté mer de la terrasse est effectivement super, les photos de Booking sont exactes mais juste derrière,il y a un hôtel de 3 étages avec toutes les chambres avec balcon qui donnent sur la terrasse et le rooftop qui fait restaurant....

donc on entend tout le temps des gens qui mangent ou discutent alors que l' endroit est très tranquille c est un peu rageant Et l appartement est très bien équipé mais sous la terrasse avec ABSOLUMENT aucune vue ,les fenêtres sont opaques et donnent sur une petite ruelle avec un mur en pierre à 1 m Je ne m attendais pas du tout a cela .De plus le parasol de la terrasse en plein soleil était cassé ,on devait nous en apporter un autre que l' on attendu 3 jours ...

This apartment was lovely, especially the terrace - we watched beautiful sunsets during our stay. The beds were comfy (two single beds joined together) and the aircon/heating worked well. The location was perfect: situated in a cute, little village with a local shop, nice restaurants and bars. It felt very private and and secure, and would recommend this apartment to anyone.

The shower's temperature decreased after a short while of being in it.

Location, cleanliness, balcony size and view, easy to use as a base for sightseeing and walking. Perfect for relaxation, quiet and restful. Just what we needed!

It was not a problem but there is no parking at or near the property so occasionally we had to trek a way to get to and from the car with bags etc.

Great and quite location, Jardim do Mar is a gem. You can hear the waves from the flat.

During our stay there we had problems with the clogged drain. One night we struggled to sleep as the water in the swimming pool next to the wall of the bed was quite loud to hear how it’s moving in the basin… another night we couldn’t sleep because of the giant cockroaches. The kitchen could be more clean, no shampoo is provided.

The real point in favor of the house is the delightful village where it is located, Jardim do mar. The house is comfortable, there is everything you need. Clean. The sea can only be seen from the roof, but at night you can hear it, beautiful. It was nice to find water and wine when we arrived.

The double bed is actually two single beds joined by the blankets above, while you sleep they separate. The owner is there but you can't see her, she replies on whatsapp, we would have liked to say hello to a real person but is okay.

Nice terrace with view to the ocean, really quiet place. In the village every morning comes a bread man, where you can buy bread, croissants etc. for really nice price.

Ants on the terrace, aircon is leaking on the terrace stairs when running and needs to be running almost all the time when inside, otherwise the humidity gets really high, no cloath hanger for drying towels etc.
