On The Rocks

The cottage was central, really clean and convenient. Lovely bed and bedding. AC and a small fridge in the room.

The bathroom and shower were a bit cramped. Could have used a towel rail. There was an attempt at a tea/coffee setup but no surface to actually make use of - a small table or sideboard would be helpful.

It was exciting to have a room in amongst the rocks of unique Monsanto. The room offered everything but certainly wasn’t the big room I expected! It was, however well placed for a nearby afternoon viewpoint and then a climb to the fort in the morning! Also not far from a cute bar/ cafe the next day where you could sit above with magnificent views!

Getting access to property was an ordeal. You must park your car outside the village. I then tried calling proprietress several times and got no answer so went to tourist bureau who had no listing of this room! Eventually they found a number which said they would have the owner phone me. Finally I got the code to get in.

Great to stay in such an extraordinary yet living hill village. I hope some rented houses like this help the village.

It is a trail back the few hundred to the place where you park, but you can't have the amazing experience without that.

This was a unique location! it was close to the ruins at the top.

We would have preferred better directions (walking to the property after finding a parking spot).

The place was very cute and comfortable. It’s a perfect location. Check in was easy and hosts were very helpful.

While the property was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom had a bad smell.
