The owners, Ricardo and his wife, are very kind. They welcome you in person. The communication with them is great. The apartment is amazing. It looks like if you live in a small museum (positive way) and everything is close by: the tram, restaurants, supermarkets and the stairs 😃

The host was extremely cooperative and nice. We arrived very late because of a super delayed flight. The host waited for us past midnight, and when we reached, he was there to show us everything very patiently. The apartment was big, with a lot of space for the kuds to run around and play. We were right next to the funicular, so that was a plus. The location was very convenient, well connected by public transport, plenty of shops nearby. Our stay was really enjoyable.

The location was correct, but unfortunately during our stay it was the time of the local festivities, and our street was taken over by fried food stalls and extremely loud music all day long — making it impossible to relax or stay there with children. All of this happened without any prior notice from the host.

Our stay at this property was unfortunately a very negative experience. When we first arrived, everything seemed in order and the house appeared to be in decent condition. However, over the next couple of days, we started noticing very serious problems that made our stay extremely uncomfortable and concerning from a health perspective. One of the bedrooms turned out to be infested with termites, which we discovered on the morning of our third day. They were not only on the walls and furniture but had also gotten into our clothes. As a result, we had to stop using that room entirely. Additionally, over the following days, several members of our group began to develop itchy bites. We later realized that most of the beds in the house had bedbugs — something we were not aware of initially, but became very clear due to the number and severity of the bites. We reached out to the host in hopes of discussing the situation calmly and finding a solution, but sadly, there was no effort to help us. The response we received was minimal, unempathetic, and showed no intention to resolve the issue. We were left to deal with a serious health and hygiene problem without any support or compensation. We would not recommend staying here, and we hope platforms like Booking.com will take the necessary action to prevent similar situations for future travelers.
