"We sorted ourselves and managed to enjoy our holiday anyway."

Location was great. Apartment was spacious and clean. Swimming pool and local cafe/bakery were a bonus. The person we ended up communicating with on WhatsApp was a lifesaver. The cleaners who came halfway through our stay were great.

The address provided was ambiguous as two different taxis took us to another apartment building a block away on two different occasions. The first occasion was when we arrived and we had no idea where to go from there. Thankfully someone suggested we try the next block. We were given specific instructions for when to arrive for someone to meet us there. No one arrived. A hour later we were able to contact someone via WhatsApp and received completely different instructions. Luckily someone let us into the secure foyer when we first arrived so we could wait in the shade. The shower head holding bracket (that we’d read about in reviews) had still not been fixed. Inadequate Wifi (that we’d read about in reviews) was still mostly nonexistent. While a TV is available, be aware it only provides six Portuguese channels. There was no toilet paper, dishwashing soap or tea towels when we arrived. It was nice that cleaners came half way through our 11 day stay and provided toilet paper and tea towels. Some noise from apartment above. With ample feedback from previous reviews, we’d thought things would have been attended to.
