Central Alfama Studio, Perfect for Budget Travelers

The location was good as it was in the historic area

The pictures shown on website were deceiving as the room was very tight. There was nowhere to hang towels or place the toiletries. The sink was so tiny, we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink. There wasn’t any windows. The worst thing was the dead cockroaches we found every day. The only positive thing was that it was clean when we arrived and host was prompt and helpful.

The location was awesome.

I did not think this was the fault of the owner. BUT, on the morning of the 3rd night, we woke up to a small flood in the apartment. I mopped up the mess and notified the host. Then on the following night, I woke up at 3AM to another small flood, and mopped up another 2 buckets of water. Then at 6:30 am, mopped up another 1.5 buckets of water. I suspect the water was coming from the apartments above. Therefore I do not blame the owner/host. Without this water issue I would have rated this stay as a 7 or 8 out of 10. NOTE: The location was awesome, and truly appreciated. FOLLOW-UP: The host reached out to indicate that he was working with local water utilities to identify the source of the leak. In short, the host took the issue seriously, and intends to resolve the issue.

Everything you needed was there and the location was great to access the rest of the city and food and drinks

No heating will be ok in the summer months but in the winter it can be cold

The apartment was very clean and within easy distance to all tourist attractions.

Superb location close to main historic sights. You can use tram 28 as your daily transport. The apartment is well equipped, has everything you need for a short stay. Very nice and welcoming host Mourad.

There’s a bit of trade off between location and comfort, there are only tiny windows in the doors of the apartment, which we worried to leave open during nights.

The apartment is located in the oldest and most authentic part of Lisbon. You can walk to the center of the city and important touristic spots. The interior of the apartment was very clean and nice. Kitchen utensils, washing machine, towels, shampoo and bedspread were available. Due to the structure of the neighborhood, it is a bit dark inside the house and the windows are very small. Towards the last days the lock of the entrance door was broken, Mr. Mourad was very helpful in changing the lock and solving the problem. I would like to thank him especially! In general, our apartment met our expectations.
