Apartment Henri

The apartment was spacious, comfortable & had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The condominium was kept spotlessly clean & felt very safe. We had a problem when we locked ourselves out of the apartment but the Rental Valley staff reacted very quickly, sorted a locksmith, & within 45 mins we were back in the apartment. Excellent service.

Nothing really. Location is a little out of Lagos ,& if walking, is at the top of quite a steep road. We would walk in ( we're in our 70s & it took around 15 mins), get an uber back for €4. No problem.

The location was excellent only 10 mins to centre. The apartment was very nice, very well equipped, everything you could want, very secure and very comfortable and very quite. Marvellous apartment best we've ever stayed in

Couldn't find cutlery drawer needs a label on it. The kitchen tap was lose and the late check in was a problem as nowhere to store our luggage while we waited.

When we arrived for check-in we found out that the location shown in Google maps was incorrect. Apartment is located further away from the old town, a 8-11 minute walk from the location given in the listing. The apartment was infested with ANTS. It was only cleaned superficially. It was obvious it had not been inhabited for a while and the ants were having a feast! I had ants crawling on me when I sat down on the couch. We had to spend hours our first night in Lagos going back and forth on the phone with Booking.com and the property management. We requested a relocation from Booking.com as soon as we had checked-in. The property management were fully booked. Booking.com said protocol was to first let the property management try to resolve the issue. We had to stay at the location to let a cleaning team in. They sprayed pesticides all over the apartment and manually killed ants with cloths. The attempt of eradication was without success. They only spoke Russian, but I can assume that the pesticides they used had poisonous fumes that one is not supposed to inhale let alone sleep in. The property management admitted to already know that there were ants present in the apartment. They claimed that previous guest might have been a bit filthy and also blamed the heat wave. We had prepaid for 8 nights in July, unfortunately we had to spend one night in Apartment Henri. The confirmation for a refund first came the following afternoon. We were charged fully for that night and only got a refund for 7 nights. This was during high season and Lagos was almost fully booked. Booking.com did not help us with a relocation. The property management, Rental Valley, refused to give a full refund. They didn´t offer any compensation at all for the first night. Rental Valley claim to be a property management team who works hard to make sure their guests stay is smooth and comfortable. Our stay was neither smooth nor comfortable. Do NOT book this apartment!
