"Exceptional"

We couldn't ask for a better location. Just in the heart of the historical city. The apartment has a unique architectural design which we really liked. A small terrace is attached to the house overlooking the historic city.

No air condition (because it's an historic city. We knew that beforehand) and at noon it might be hot. The streets are noisy so you have to keep windows closed. But you couldn't ask for quiet streets in the middle of a touristic city...so it wasn't really a bad thing.

Well located. Washer worked great. Plenty of hot water. Bathroom was roomy. The entire apartment was a generous size.

The interior stairs were very steep and there was no hand rail.

"Absolutely amazing; I would do it again in a heartbeat."

The location was amazing. It is in the heart of the most picturesque area of the city, and a short walk to everything. The kitchen is fully equipped. Pedro and Alice were easy to work with. I ended up having to go to an appointment about 30 minutes away with inadequate bus service, and Alice arranged for a taxi to take me to my destination and wait.

These aren't criticisms; just things people should be aware of. Coimbra is VERY hilly. That area of town in particular has pedestrian only streets with multiple steps. Similarly, the apartment is on the 3rd and 4th floor. You must be able to climb steps. Also, the ceilings on the upper floor slope down (it's built into the attic), so you need to be careful not to bump your head; this may not be an issue in other apartments at the property.

It is a design house in the center of Coimbra, with beautiful terraces and view. Nice interiors

Everything is design to optimise a minimal space. the different levels and steep stairs may be a bit uncomfortable for elders

Great location. Really friendly and helpful hosts. Nice amenities in the apartment, which was a good size.

Unfortunately the garden area was quite overgrown, so not a nice place to relax as expected. The “king” bed was two singles, but these were just loose on a smooth plywood riser so they wouldn’t stay together.

Great! Appreciated to be downtown like this, or uppertown rather I should say. :)

The bed is just for a couple, 140 cm. For colleagues from work it was a challenge, but we managed. :)
