Ponta do Sol Amazing 3 Bedroom Apartment

Comfortable large flat aside from noise.

There is no beach nearby. It is nice sun-set view location 5minuts walk at the cliff.

The smell in the kitchen: mould?

It was spacious. The communication was good. And the staff that arranged to meet me was friendly and on time and responded to a couple questions I had very quickly.

Didn’t like the location, way up in the hills up difficult roads (made worse because of the maintenance, being 1-lane, while I was there), and far from Ponta do Sol Old Town. It’s also on a long gated “driveway”/private street with several other buildings, then another door for the underground parking area to get into the building. I was concerned about the general maintenance. Half the lights were bare bulbs hanging from wires, and the few existing light fixtures were also not correctly installed, hanging off the ceiling. The patio doors didn’t lock (not that concerned for safety as I was up a couple levels but should be fixed) Fortunately, I always pack ear plugs when I travel, you’ll need them for the dozen dogs that bark most of the night. And finally, the parking situation, absolutely awful. I only pulled in the first night, following the staff to the building. The space allocated is small and further blocked with about a 1/2 meter metal gate that really needs to be removed. I was so concerned with getting in and out I parked in the street the reminder of my stay and walked in and out of the gates and “driveway” every day.

Calm area, no turists, but car is a must. Good local restaurant nearby as well as a grocery.. 5mins by walk.. Great view from appartment. Dedicated parking space. It is the best place to stay, if you want to explore the island.. it is max 1 hour to every corner of island and Ponta do Sol is the most sunny place on Madeira, so even on other parts of island was bad weather, here was mostly sunny.

Amazing, unobstructed views from bedroom and living room. Sunrise above ocean is the first thing you see when you wake up. The dog is not annoying :)

nice view, a lot of space ( 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and 2 balconies), very nice restaurant Santa Teresa just 2 min walk from the apartment, good contact with the owners, we received some tips and recommendations where to go and what to do, fruit basket left for us, private parking space, well equipped kitchen, it was clean

two things: one - the water in the shower was either cold or hot, it was difficult to enjoy the shower. the second thing is something that owners have no influence on, but still it disrupted my holidays: the owners of the flat below have two dogs and they keep them unattended on the balcony for many hours. one of them was barking whenever I moved, open the balcony door or even just said a word. dog was barking until 1030 pm every day. it was difficult to relax, use the balcony or even fall asleep. i reported this and someone was supposed talk to dog owners, but during our stay situation hasn’t changed
