A51 - Torraltinha Sunset Apartment

The staff was nice and helpful, they were just unlucky that they needed to be called 4 times due to the house poor conditions. The location is good with free parking right outside and the pool looks very nice.

The house should be ok during summer but they shouldn't rent it during the winter in these conditions. It's super cold all the time, the windows don't isolate neither the cold nor the noise (which can add up). The house has the basics and the basics only, it isn't very welcoming. It isn't horrible but it just isn't a comfortable stay.

We traveled for 2 weeks in Portugal and stayed in 8 different places and this one by far is the worse. In fact, I do not remember anything like this In my experience. What I did not like? Here you go 1. What you see in the picture and what you see inside is completely different. This qualifies as 100% wrong advertisement. 2. Picking up the key in the downtown of the city, a few km away from the stay where you can’t park the car is absurd. 3. The place had a pool, but the key did not work. On my request on the property, there is no response from the owner. 4. When you walking into the place, there is a horrible smell of the freshener that trying to kill the smell from the toilet without success. 5. The shower takes about 3-5 minutes to heat the water. But until you wait, the water at the bottom of the shower is not going away. Eventually, it could overflow out of the shower area. Please watch! 6. The balcony is the best, it is facing parking spot with garbage on it. 7. The corners of the doors are sealed with duct-tape with black paint over them. 8. The bedroom is the worst part of the place. Someone wrapped up it in plastic. The actual mattress as well! 9. The cleaning leading came 30 minutes before we even checked out. Very uncomfortable. Well, this is 50 dollars per night stay, not what I paid for. Extremely disappointing! I do not recommend it to anyone, even if you are on a budget. I will be asking for my money back.

EN: Location is great, in an area of Lagos I know well and where I have been going for my whole life. Breakfast was decent and it was delivered to the door of the flat every morning. PT: Localização excelente, numa zona de Lagos que conheço bem e que tenho visitado toda a minha vida. Pequeno-almoço decente, entregue à porta do apartamento todas as manhãs.

EN: Check-in in a central location of Lagos, away from the property. Upon arrival we found a broken bed frame in the middle of the living room with a mattress sloppily on top. This was dangerous for our <2 years old child. There was a crib in the flat, as requested, although we had to call to get confirmation of the crib availability, could not manage to get confirmation after texting through booking App. Communication was thus not straightforward. Of note, the crib was only semi-assembled, and without apparent instructions we could not get it operational before our baby's bed time. On the balcony, there was another broken chair together with an assemblage of additional abandoned or degraded items. Wooden doors and locks are in poor condition as well. Overall, a disappointing experience with my family in a city I've been visiting my whole life and which I love. PT: Check-in no centro de Lagos, longe da propriedade. À chegada, encontrámos uma cama partida no meio da sala com um colchão colocado desleixadamente acima. Para a nossa criança <2 anos este tipo de mobília partida representa um perigo. Havia um berço no apartamento, conforme solicitado, mas tivémos que ligar para obter a confirmação da disponibilidade do berço, uma vez que não conseguimos obter a confirmação após o envio de mensagens de texto através da aplicação Booking. Isto reflecte como a comunicação não é efectuada de forma eficiente. É importante salientar que o berço estava apenas semi-montado e, sem instruções aparentes, não o conseguimos montar adequadamente antes da hora de dormir da criança. Na varanda havia outra cadeira partida juntamente com um conjunto de itens adicionais abandonados ou degradados. As portas e fechaduras de madeira também estão em mau estado. No geral, uma experiência decepcionante com a minha família numa cidade que visitei durante toda a minha vida e que adoro.
