Great location with all the shops, restaurants and singing students!

Some may struggle with the 5-story walk up but we enjoyed the extra exercise…Waze did not get us to the address as it’s not a drivable street.

The location was perfect. In the middle of town. A good washing machine, microwave, stove and comfy bed.

No indication if there is wifi. We did not know the network or password. The shower did not have a shower head. No hot water (dont know if the gas was done, we send an email and phone but no reply) only one roll of toilet paper for 5 days. The bedding was only a duvetcover, no inner. I was cold every night.

No wi-fi, and when I called the proprietor was told that it's a loft so the internet is dodgy, I could try turning it off and on or "try again later", whatever that means. Booked somewhere else after being told, by the proprietor, that I'd get a full refund, this was the 3rd of August, still waiting... Book at your own risk.

The property is situated in the city centre, on one of the most prominent streets of Coimbra and it was close to the main attractions and to the university. The view is very nice as the loft is on the 4th floor. The bed was spacious and comfortable.

We stayed for 5 days and the owner provided us with only two towels. The kitchen was low on some supplies - there was only one bowl and we were two people. We tried to cook ourselves a meal the first night and found a dirty used cooking tray in the oven and there was nothing else we could use at the time. The property did not provide us with any soap (including hand soap) or dish soap. The toilet paper finished and the owner did not provide us with any more, although we contacted him. There is no elevator and you have to climb a couple of flights of steep steps. There were no photos of the outside door of the apartment and it was hard to find the exact door at first.

The location within Coimbra was really great. If you're arriving by car it will be important for you to plan for where you're going to park because you can't even get close to the location by driving. Be ready to walk many blocks and climb many stairs with your luggage. Once you've done that, you'll be sitting pretty right in the downtown area with (mostly) only foot traffic on the nearby streets. Lots of street musicians and it's a college town so there are revelers. We had a great time and were happy with the location most of all.
