Guesthouse Liberdade - 7 Bedroom Apartment

My double room was spacious and nice view

Sanitary could be a bit cleaner and no toilet paper. Room has no fan.

My stay was really bad. My room was extremely noisy and the street lights were inside the room. I'm not sure if the sheets were clean or not. I stayed here for 1 week and the toilets were never cleaned and there was no toilet paper. Since the garbage was never taken out during this time, there were flies everywhere. The refrigerator was not working and all my supplies were broken. The coffee machine was broken and I bought coffee for nothing. There is no internet because you can't see the modem for the connection. Since the place doesn't have a sign, especially if you arrive at night, you will probably have a hard time finding it.

Large and practical apartment, but unfortunately very noisy if you're with people who aren't very respectful of the rules, especially as the walls are as thin as paper. We were in room 2 and one of the two shutters was broken, so it was very difficult to fall asleep with the noise of the other housemates and the light on all the time, as the window looked out onto the street, which was lit all the time. Some people went to eat at 11pm and made a monstrous noise, others were not clean and left their dirty towels or personal belongings in the bathrooms. Despite this the apartment was very well equipped and very well located next to the Marquês de Pombal metro station. So please if you plan to book this apartment think of others and be respectful, you are not at home and all alone. But I would recommend you to pass your way

Beds were comfy, nice design and equipped kitchen plus enough bathrooms

The high touch surfaces were never cleaned - bathroom door locks. Soap was never refilled in bathroom sinks and no one to talk to About those issues

The location was nice.

I had a one person room number 6, it was very warm inside, and the ventilation didn't work.

The location is good traffic-wise, but it has other drawbacks (below). Value for money looks good at first glance, but it is not that great (below).

At first glance, this place seems alright, but it really is not. For what it is, it is NOT good value for money. The place is in a very dodgy neighbourhood – there is an adult gentlemen’s club on the ground floor and a big pink building (guess what that is) on the corner a few meters from the entrance. The host who is only reachable by phone is unhelpful, unfriendly and arrogant. Entering the building is awkward by a combination of door codes and URLs (what would somebody do who is not an expert in smartphone use?). I was only provided with one tiny towel, which was not changed even when I left it outside of my bedroom door, and even, in a further attempt, when I phoned the landlord asking for a new towel. Bathrooms and common areas (lounge) are not well kept clean. Other guests had doubts about security (someone else reported theft of a camera). My bedroom (the single room in the property) had no window and was tiny and stuffy – this should have been mentioned in the room description (but it is not). I had to use ear plugs for getting any sleep. Don’t stay here – I would not stay here again.

Clean. Nice kitchen & bathrooms.

No window. Stairs. Distance to Chaido etc. Complex check-in, on phone, didn’t work. No flexibility on storing luggage after checkout, so moved to a better location that looked after my luggage for 6 hours.
