Horizon Apartment by Seewest

We love Lagos, our preferred city in the Algarve. This apartment is in an excellent location with the old town walkable in 20 minutes or less. There is a grocery store close by as well as the businesses along the marina which include restaurants and bars. We enjoyed some live music and the sunset along the marina is beautiful. The view from the two balconies is very nice, but hard to see the sea (lol). Sunsets are still glorious. The apartment had everything we needed. It is nice to meet them in person, but instructions were easy to follow and they responded with any questions we had. There is ample free parking for visitors at this time of year as well.

We did recommend some revisions to the app that we were given. It had some misinformation and some things that could have been clearer. The property manager did respond saying these updates would be made. The only thing we would change is improving the quality of the pillows.

The property came as advertised and delivered on cleanliness, well stocked kitchen appliances and accessories. The balconies were nice and spacious. Having two bathrooms made a big difference. Bedrooms had large closets for our stuff. The Car Park in the building garage is safe and convenient. It is also a short walking distance to the Marina, the Historic Town Center and the local Grocery Store. The hosts were also very receptive to questions.

The air conditioners were not working as expected. We did not reach out to the property manager on this issue as it was October and the nights were cool.

Bedding was so thin and there were not enough pillows

We loved the quiet location near the marina, close enough to walk into town and back several times a day. Also a 10min walk to the beautiful long beach. The apartment is spacious and modern and the AC keeps it nice and cool. We witnessed an amazing sunset from the large patio one night.

On first inspection, the place seemed quite clean. but then we discovered wet towels in the washing machine. Also a dirty, wet dishcloth in the drawer and no dishwasher tabs as promised in the description. I will mention, though, that as soon as I brought this to their attention, both issues were remedied immediately. And the only reason I mention it at all is because I read some other travellers had the same issue in the past.

Great location, large clean apartment. Seewest staff friendly and responsive. Air conditioning worked well. Pool was great and although busy we always found a spare sun bed.

An extra pillow on the beds, there was only 1 mattress for sunbeds.

The apartment was in a great area you could walk to the marina in 5 mins and the. supermarket in 10 mins and there was a really reasonable Italian restaurant and coffee shop around the corner. The apartment is in a private block where people live every day so not a holiday type resort which I didn't mind but just to be aware. It was a nice size with a balcony on both sides. The pool was nice and never too busy, the sunloungers were quite uncomfortable, most people brought their own toppers to make them comfortable each day.

The air-conditioning system worked but only on heat and was extremely uncomfortable at night. We were told that the apartment is self-catering however they would leave a starter pack and some pods for both the dishwasher and washing machine, the only thing that was left was the end of a bottle of washing liquid and a dirty sponge.

Great size property , had everything that you needed .
