There was a mix-up and they gave me access to a room that was not cleaned. After reaching out to the owner he realised it was the wrong room and gave me access to the other that was already ready to receive people.

Essentials. In the apartment last night I arrived, it is totally different than on the assurances. At a different address. There is fungus and mold everywhere on the walls and ceiling. The bedding was not changed. And I suffer from asthma and being here is life-threatening. There are no windows, the stench is unbearable. Worms walk in the bathtub. Don't book, because booking doesn't do anything about it, the owner has to agree to a refund, and he doesn't

The apartment is conveniently located close to the main shore road in Porto, public transit (bus) links, and restaurants. It was private. Free street parking was available nearby. The apartment's facilities are amazing. There are a microwave, oven, washing machine, and kettle available, as well as a good selection of dishes and cutlery. The bathroom, although small, was well appointed, and shelves were available for toiletries. There were drawers available to unpack suitcases. The bed was comfortable, as was the couch for lounging. There was a TV with programming available. Our host's communication was excellent. We felt welcome. It was obvious he cared about our comfort during our stay. We were able to provide direct feedback during our stay, and I am sure that any issues raised would receive appropriate attention.

The bed was set up with the side against the wall, so if a couple were using it, one would have to climb over the bed to get into it . If it was turned 90° so that the headboard was against the wall, it would be more accessible for both people. There were no hangers available to hang jackets in the hanging space provided.

As we arrived it was difficult to open the key-box and we never heard from our host who we called twice. As soon as we opened the door we were received with an awful smell of humidity. The bathroom is full of mold, the bed is not comfortable, the mattress is stained, the dishes weren't properly cleaned and the sponges to do the dishes are very old and used.

The property is tucked away in the old part of Foz. Airline delays meant I arrived very late and the taxi driver couldn't find it. Luckily I called the owner and he directed us. Thankful for the large comfortable bed I had a good night. In daylight I realised what a splendid location this is; a short walk from the riverside and park or left to Old Foz for breakfast or right to lovely coastal scenery and seafood restaurants at Praia do Molhe. The tram stop to go into Porto city is a ten minute stroll.

The bathroom area was clean and there was lots of instant hot water for a shower but it is very small. Okay for me but perhaps a little tight if more people.
