The Mouzinho Penthouse

The property was unfortunately a health hazard - had a massive pest issue - so little to like -

This is the first time Iam ever writing a review but doing this one as to hopefully help someone else booking this property - My sister - my 9yr old niece and I booked the apartment for 3 days as the reviews looked good - we paid a little over 1000 euros for the same - at the time of booking I sent a request that the appartment be deep cleaned as my niece is allergic to bugs and dust - the property confirmed - - when we self checked in firstly the apartment smelt musty and a strange smell of not being aired for days - we then found a broken glass shattered all inside the dish washer - which we had to clean -on texting the manager - we were told he was sorry and that was that - - our nightmare began at night - when we found ants crawling not just in our beds but also the entire living room - my niece was bitten all over - - First thing in the morning - I informed the manager - who after 2 hrs sent someone to ‘manage’ it - who came in with a Spray bottle and threw her hands up saying this was a disaster - ( her words not mine ) - she later relayed the same to the manager on the phone - - Meanwhile, we had to take my niece to the hospital for a antihistamine shot - the manager text 2 hrs later saying we could move to another appartment they had / by this time we had had enough / we asked for a full refund - which was refused - just 630 euros for two nights were refunded - - We had no energy to argue and we moved to the lovely Mouzinho river village appartment right across - a little more expensive but stunning - squeaky clean place - with daily cleaning included and run by an efficient team - while money is important and we were appalled that we were charged for a night where we should have been compensated ! - the point was the whole attitude sucked and ruined our short break in Porto with us having to make a trip to the hospital thanks to them - do yourselves a favour and skip this one! - we booked the two bedroom penthouse -

Perfect location, was cozy and clean.

The shower didn’t drain properly, but we notified the owner about the issue so that they were aware of it.

The Mouzinho Penthouse is a great place to spend a few days exploring Porto. Close to dining and major attractions, without being amongst too many other tourists when you don't want to be. Also, we appreciated our host set up a pack'n'play and high chair for our little one.

Though the sun was up a long time since it was summer during our stay, the lighting could have been better in both the bedrooms and living room.

Excellent in all ways. Big and spacious. Excellent location!

Lights in the room can be brighter.

The location was perfect! Right down the street from Sao Bento train station. Could walk to everything!

Only one towel per person.

Beautiful apartment in great location.

The location is an easy walk to the river and the balcony is wonderful. Additionally, you are close to all sorts of shops and restaurants.

The lighting is fairly dim so once the sun goes down, the apartment can feel dim. This can feel cozy for some, but if you have older eyes, it can make it difficult to see.

Great location, lovely big spacious apartment ideal for friends/family

The location was great within easy walking distance of attractions, dining and grocery stores. The balcony and the view were a wonderful place to just relax and watch Porto come to life each day.

We could have used stronger lighting making it easier to read. The interior has a lot of natural light from the windows and skylights but at night it was a nice mood light but not very functional.
