Santa Joana Villa

Very welcoming hosts who met us at the property to hand over the keys (and had previously sent details of other services, which they could help organise and book during our stay). Lovely house in very pleasant suburb, with shops and cafes nearby, and with easy access to the centre of Lisbon via the the local metro station, which is only a few minutes' walk away. The metro system itself is easy to navigate and one can also - from this year - 'tap in' with a bank card, which was very convenient. All in all we had a delightful stay in Lisbon, and would definitely return to the property.

We booked via 'Booking.com', which does not mention that the pool is shared. We would have expected exclusivity for the price, and we feel that this is a material omission. The white, large-garage-sized property within the grounds has been converted to accommodation since the website photos were taken. Whilst this did not spoil our stay, there were one or two days on which the pool was occupied for most of the day by four - very amiable - young men; not an issue when we were out sightseeing, but a little noisy and intrusive when we were back in the property, bearing in mind the proximity of the pool to the lounge area of the house (as the pictures show).
