Charming Duplex at Alfama

After a little time, we realized we were surrounded by at least 4 breakfast places and within a short walk, a plaza with several restaurants. We then realized we were in the historic Lisbon and couldn't have been happier.

I had booked a taxi prior to arriving to take us to the place. The cost was 19 euros. Then the owner/manager of the property informed us they would pick us up at the airport and take us to the property. I canceled the cab. When we arrived I checked my messages and discovered the owner/manager couldn't pick us up. ( flying all day my phone was off) Got a cab at the airport, the cost was 30 Euros, 11 Euros more. But that was only the beginning. One of us is late 60's the other 73. One of us has COPD. The driver stopped on the main drag and said your place is just up the hill close to here. It took us another hour and rent a Tuk Tuk to get us to our apartment.

Location was excellent and great value for money

The sky roof windows above the bed had no shutters/blinds so we were woken up very early . A little noise on the street below when bins were being collected

The location is absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of Alfama, but just a few minutes from the closest metro station. In the appartment we had loads of space for the two of us.

The mattress has seen better days... The bed wasn't very comfortable.

The location and cleanliness. Check in instructions were clear and direct.

WiFi connection is poor and no one from the customer services supports or answers us about this issue. The bed mattress should be replaced to a new one. The hair dryer cable is also about to burn someone considering the whole in it. VERY dangerous!

Neighborhood is quite well, you can find a lot of restaurants and bars not far from the apartment. You can reach by walk all central disctrict in Lisbon. Over the apartment you can find beautiful viewpoint about the Tajo.

TV and Internet is not working. The shower is not working well.

The location is very good: easy to reach by metro, everything is within walking distance. The apartment is nice, although tiny inside. Apartment was very clean.

TV did not work. Internet was very bad. The bed is very small, too small for two people if one of them is quite tall. Host is not very quick to answer messages when you have a question or a problem.
