Quinta da Alquimia

A very charming cottage in a lovely garden and quiet location. We didn't pluck up the courage to use the pool (end of December), but it looks lovely, and big enough to swim a bit. It was great being only 10mins by car from Lagos, and therefore easy to get to anywhere else in the region, but being in such a quiet spot where all you could hear were the birds in the garden. Another highlight were the super-friendly, but very relaxed dogs. They would always come over for a stroke/snuggle, but were not pushy at all, so no problem if you're not a big fan.

it's not necessarily a negative, but the cottage is very open-plan, so you have to get on well with whoever you are staying with!

Quinta da Alquimia was amazing. The property was magnificent, the accommodations excellent, and the hosts very helpful.

We loved our week here. It was only 10 minutes outside of Lagos, and perfectly located to explore the south and west coast beaches of the Algarve - we could get everywhere within about 20-45 minutes. The gardens and the pool at the property were so well maintained. The hosts were super helpful and easy to contact with any questions via Whatsapp. Although they live on the property we barely saw them but knew they were there if we needed anything. We definitely recommend Quinta da Alquimia!

Well maintained apartment in a small complex. Fantastic pool area and gardens. Great to have access to a barbecue.
