Oporto Centre Clean & Cozy Apt 1

Comfortable and extra clean

Just as described - a clean & cozy apartment in a super convenient location; all the main tourist attractions, churches, etc walking distance. Host was not onsite but responded quickly to messages and was very accommodating. They provided earplugs which are needed if you’re a light sleeper as it’s in a very popular, touristy area.

Only thing, and perhaps this was written and we missed it; but there were no towels, napkins, or paper napkins anywhere, which can be tricky when you’re travelling to pack yourself.

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE, we booked and paid for the apartment for 2 nights, when we arrived, there was no response from the host to enter the apartment, we called, we texted, nothing. After 2 hours, we had to book another apartment close by. There was no response or refund 2 days later, when they replied that it was monday, stating there was an issue with booking.com, but I called the local number for them and texted directly, and there was no response either. Horrible experience. It was a saturday during a holiday and everything was already booked . Be aware, I am sure the reviews are not true, I dont think this is the first time that happens

Excellent location, keyless access. Suitable for traveling with a friend as there are two separate toilets available and the bedroom has an optical separation. We came during an unexpected cold front, and the heating did its job to keep us warm.

The apt was very clean and well equipped. Short walk to the Sao Bento station. (The ongoing construction made it a little confusing). Lots of restaurants and sites nearby.

Being an old building it was cold and heaters were provided but to keep the heat in it was best to close the interior shutters making it dark.
