Faial Marina Apartments 2

Spacious apartment with great views of the harbour from the lounge. Good central location.

We arrived at 5pm, an hour after check in, to be told by the owner that the property was not ready and the cleaning had still to be started and it could be 2 hours before it was ready. All we got was apologies!! The owner was expecting a couple with a 1 year old child and since check out for the previous occupiers was 11.00 I consider this to be totally unacceptable. I also had a problem a few weeks earlier as we received a request for our credit card details from the accommodation through Booking.com. It turned out to be a scam and we initially lost 60€. It turns out that the accommodation knew that their bookings had been hacked in to and we were not the first to be scammed!! The property does not appear to have a smoke alarm! The shower tray has black mouldy grouting!!

Appartement E, la baie vitrée du salon donne sur la marina. Bien positionné. Personnel agréable et serviable.

Une petite révision des stores intérieurs de la baie vitrée serait la bienvenue.

O apartamento é muito confortável, com todos itens básicos que precisamos, tv a cabo, wi-fi, secador, ar condicionado na sala, toalhas, a cozinha tinha vários itens, a geladeira é grande. A localização é perfeita! Com certeza ficaria nele novamente!

Cheirava muito a moufo e havia muito bolor nas casas de banho e janelas de todo o apartamento

La ubicación, espaciosas habitaciones, la dueña que enseña las chaves para los pisos, así como las vistas para el puerto de Faial estaban todas chulas.

La experiencia del check in un poco complicada pues hay dos edificios, y si estas lleno de equipaje, y talvez, seria mejor encontrar con la dueña adonde será la estancia a quedar, y no adentro del edificio que ella vive, y asi haber que llevar la equipaje para el otro edificio.

Location in the heart of Horta, could see the water. The woman who checks you in is sweet.

Check-in experience was hell. The location given doesn’t take you to the right spot when you put it into google map. I understand this isn’t their fault but in my experience, hosts tend to know if their locations are difficult to find and will put information in the check-in instructions to help guide customers. They’re on a very busy, very narrow road with no parking making it even harder to find the location since you can’t stop. Additionally, the booking.com listing says it comes with parking, but it literally doesn’t. They just tell you to go park on the street so we ended up having to park over a quarter mile away and haul all our stuff over. The floor was wet when we arrived. The shade in the bedroom had so much mildew, we couldn’t use it. Wouldn’t stay there again.
