The view and the location.

The awful constant noise from the square below particularly the appalling amplified bad busking from noon until later evening. This was not nice music it was offensive - loud ethnic drumming and shouting. You could hear this racket from inside with all the windows closed. This truly spoiled our Porto experience. In addition the WiFi was diabolical constantly cutting out completely!

Beautiful apartment in a spectacular location. I wished I had longer to stay but was late to arrive and early to leave. Ideally located for sightseeing and restaurants, well equipped and very comfortable. The hosts were very attentive, responsive and easy to deal with. This is the kind of apartment you want when the weather's perfect AND when it's not - just as nice for chilling out as it is for going out.

The Uber driver couldn't find the location at all and this ended up being very stressful for the driver (who kept wanting to dump me at any apartment that had a '3' in its address) and for me. I can't recall if it's mentioned in the listing or others' reviews, but access to the apartment is very restricted and this is challenging if you have luggage. Not a reason not to stay, just be aware of it in your planning. The hosts had sent photos with their entry instructions but these didn't appear in my phone app - they do all they can to make it easy and stress-free for guests, but best to be aware that systems can fail. (And if I hadn't already been overtired and stressed from a very difficult travel day, I might have been less bothered by it as well!)

The shower is a little basic.

Communication with the host was excellent both before and throughout our stay. Amazing apartment in prime position. Great facilities within the property. Many restaurants on the riverfront nearby in this lively area. Highly recommended.

Can't think of anything.

This property was superb and so was the service. It couldn’t be located in a better place. We rented 3 apartments but the apartment with 1 bedroom had an incredible balcony with great views. It is in the heart of the tourist area so expect noise from the restaurants, bars and also morning deliveries but it is absolutely worth it for its location. Cristine couldn’t be more helpful if anything was needed and organising transfers.

No where secure to store luggage if you arrive before check in or return flight is later in the day . Streets are steep and cobbled and dragging luggage about is a chore but otherwise perfect stay

Poor communication relay between the property, Booking.com, and then me. Ditto on the opposite direction. Booking.com provided no value once the reservation was completed and only got in the way. I finally got the property to communicate directly with me and things were fine thereafter.

The building was literally meters away from the water, which was convenient but noisy. The room was understandably virtually medieval as it was kept in as close to its representation as possible (this was appreciated). However, the bathroom was barely functional and was not up to standards expected. The kitchen was functional albeit quite old/dated. The furniture was old/antique-ish, but still not up to standards (the writing desk was appreciated however!). The bed was comfortable, and the overhead fan was greatly appreciated. Attempting to iron clothes resulted in a tripped electrical breaker, which we had to figure out how to access and fix. Opening the windows onto the waterfront in the mornings was a wonderful treat (quiet). Too much noise to enjoy for more than a few minutes in the evening though. We enjoyed our time but this could have been so much nicer, especially for the nightly rate paid.
