Apartamento Marina Olhão

Immaculate and modern. Had everything we needed. Air conditioning was lovely as it was very hot! Roof top pool was not big but perfect for a cooling dip.

We loved the spaciousness of this apartment.The kitchen was well appointed & had little extras like condiments. There were plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, and dishes & glasses. There was foil, plastic bags, paper towels & bin bags & toilet paper in both bathrooms. There was a large fridge/freezer & washing machine. Great air conditioning throughout the whole apartment. Hot water was available on demand. There are plenty of towels, too. .We thought the location was perfect for walking everywhere. The Marina was very near, with cafes & an arcade and a great ice cream parlour. The area felt very safe and clean. We all loved the charming rooftop pool. It was great to swim under the sun and to lounge beside the pool in privacy. It was very well maintained and obviously clean. We were able to walk along the sea front to the ferry that went to the islands. The Old Town centre was nearby too.

There was no food shop or bakery in the area. There was no printed recommendation of where we could shop. It would have been nice to have some milk & bread rolls provided for our 1st morning.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, in a great location, with a lovely balcony and easy parking. The kitchen was very well-equipped; the bed comfortable; and the water hot. Brian was a kind and helpful host - especially when I need a new charger for my Mac and he steered us to the Apple Store in Faro. You don’t need to go anywhere from Olhao - it is delightful and has more than enough restaurants and activities to keep you happy for a week or more. But it is easy to drive along the coast or up into the hills and there are lots of amazing excursions including the castle at Silves. We were there in January/February and had good weather with lots of sunshine. The woods and hills were full of mimosa and almonds in blossom as well as lemon and orange groves, so the scent was amazing.

The apartment is spacious and we enjoyed the week we had there, although we are usually no fans of modern apartment buildings. However, this is close to the old part of Olhao and easy to access by car and with free parking. All amenities are provided, including supplies for cooking, sun screen, toiletries and local businesses as well as supermarket is close by. This is excellent value for money and a place, where a family can space out, and separate when needed.

we heard a neighbour talking over the phone in the evenings, when we were in - but did not affect us in the bedrooms. So not really bothering.

The apartment is in a great location - close to everything but nice and quiet. Beautifully presented, immaculately clean and with everything a guest could need provided. The host was exceptionally helpful, giving clear guidance on finding the apartment and met us as agreed. He also recommended good places to eat and pointed out some of the local landmarks from the rooftop terrace. Overall, this is one of the nicest apartments we have stayed in and we would not hesitate in recommending it to others. We will definitely return for another stay.
