We absolutely loved our stay at Santa Luzia Green apartment: proximity to the beach, calm area and tranquility of the place made our vacation very special.

We have stayed here many times before and like it. Glad to see some improvements since we last stayed (we have not stayed here since before Covid and had to cancel a booking during the Covid outbreak). The kitchen has been much improved since we last stayed (better cutlery, glasses & plates etc., and a microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle & washing machine) and new furniture on the ground floor balcony including a hammock !. The hosts are always very communicative and friendly.

There was nothing about the apartment we didn't like. Please see my other review about the increased presence of Caravanettes & Campa Van's in the area. Some Caravanettes & Campa Van's seem to like parking on the flat land immediately outside the apartment block. I think the apartment block owners should try to stop this happening or it maybe become a problem that grows and grows.

There was nothing about the apartment we didn't like. The only thing we noticed about the immediate vicinity since our last visit was the increased amount of Campa Van's & Caravanettes using the area immediately outside the apartment building (which never used to be the case in December/January). We woke up one morning to a Campa Van parked right outside the balcony wall - blocking the view !. Though they moved the Campa Van mid morning it was a bit annoying. Also we had 2 Caravanettes arrive in the middle of the night one other night - again in the area immediately outside the apartment staying for most of the following day with various things going on ! (but we won't go there !) My recommendation is that the apartment block tries to stop the area immediately outside the apartment being used by Campa Van's & Caravanettes. There are plenty of other areas away from the apartment building that they can use - including a specific medium sized site over the road specifically for Campa Van's & Caravanettes - which was never totally full.

The apartment is very well situated and we have stayed here many times. Perfect for people who want to enjoy a quiet holiday close to the beach and at the same time close to restaurants, but also with good opportunities to prepare their own food. Very good for longer stays, as it is designed as a permanent home.

This is things we have mentioned to the host. Some of them many times. Furniture setup in livingroom doesn't work. One can't pass the room if you need to use the sofa table sitting on the couch. • There is very little light in the kitchen. Its impossible to cook after dark as one shade the very weak ceiling light when you stand at the kitchen table. Lights should be installed under the overhead cabinets. • The small toilet flush doesn't work and the big one is on the verge of not working as it is stuck and needs to be tapped to get the water to stop running. • Wooden old laying chairs on the terrasse should either be fixed or removed. • The drying rack is damaged. A new one is needed. • There are no cushions for the new garden furniture. Its not nice to sit on without. • There is no BBQ facility as announced. • The frying pans are unusable.

My wife and I enjoyed staying in this one bedroom groundfloor apartment. This apartment was ideal for us to relax and we enjoyed the outside terrace. It was easy to walk into town to enjoy the local bars and restaurants. The closest beach is Praia do Barril and we took the Touristic Train - Praia do Barril which was a 15 minute walk and 5 minute Touristic Train trip. We would like to return to enjoy another long weekend staying in this apartment and town. We also enjoyed visiting the towns of Tavira, Faro, Lagos and Sagres.

Better quality bed pillows for the double bed would have been appreciated. There was no free private parking, however there was free parking on the street.

The ground floor property is easily accessible and has a god sized terrace from which there are good views to the estuary and, from which. we saw some magnificent sunsets.. The apartment is situated on the western edge of the most delightful fishing village of Santa Luzia, one of the prettiest villages on the Algarve coast. The wifi was excellent and there was plentiful hot water.

I found the mattress to be too hard. Taps for the bath would be good rather than to have to use the shower head to fill it. As a retired surveyor my critical eye noticed the poor build quality of the building and I would recommend replacing the areas of plaster where the builder has used sand from the beach (with salts in) with proper builders sand (without salts in). Redecorate and update the outside furniture which is tired and you have the perfect rental property. I am not criticising but trying to give practical feedback.
