Historic alfama apt with modern style

This is a great apartment in a lovely location. The pictures are pretty much as shown on the website. We enjoyed our stay here.

As others have mentioned, the communication around the check in process could be improved. It was unclear whether we were meeting someone from the multiple messages from different people. We thought we were meeting someone and said we'd be there at 4. So we sat around the train station doing nothing for an hour, killing time, only to find out later that it's a door code. Then the door code wasn't working, so it took a while to get in. However, we were able to reach someone to help us quickly, even though it was Easter weekend, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, the shower drain was clogged, so we had to stagger our showers, one person showering at night, the other in the morning.

everything was beautiful as anticipated in the apartment description and it was clean as well. No noises from the street. Super position in the heart of Alfama. The host was very helpful and easily contactable.

the pillows are a little uncomfortable and the apartments in the building between them are not very soundproofed.
