Cantinho Azul - Tavira Garden T1 by the pool

This apartment in Tavira Gardens was absolutely prefect for us as we were exploring Tavira and the surrounding areas looking for our new home as we are in immigration process. It always felt good to come back. It's perfectly located just outside Tavira off the main road yet never heard any traffic. Everything was perfect - from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bath. All worked great and was well stocked. The owner Pedro is incredible! He met us when we arrived and gave us the keys and was there for anything we needed. he also gave us a great list of places to eat, and also spent some time creating a great wine list for me as I didnt know what red wine to get here in Portugal - they all seem to be fabulous. We didn't use the pool because of the time of year, but the pool area has its own restaurant and bar which is super great and yummy! Fabulous and perfect stay - highly recommend.

Sehr netter Vermieter. Die Wohnung ist in einer Anlage mit Pool. Zu der Zeit, zu der wir da waren, sehr ruhig. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Leider ist der Ort mit den Restaurants zu Fuß nur schwer erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist funktionell, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Pedro is an amazing host - excellent communication in advance, and was happy to meet us in person when we arrived unexpectedly early (before official checkin times). He provided us with some good restaurant tips (we can recommend Ti Maria and Come na Gaveta) and checked in with us a couple more times during our stay to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The first-floor apartment is very spacious and well-appointed, and situated in a quiet area at the back of the complex, although close to the pool & cafe area (a card is provided to access it). There is a small balcony that looks out onto trees which is very pleasant for breakfast, or sitting out in the evening. There is also a decent supermarket a few minutes walk away. This was our first visit to Tavira, which we found to be a charming town with plenty to do & see , but with a nice laid-back atmosphere. Highly recommended! Be aware that Tavira Gardens is situated on the outskirts of Tavira, on the N125, and that it is a 25-minute walk into the centre of town. For travelling further afield, and/or to the beaches, we had a rental car.
