Belém Lodge

it is really clean and minimalistic appartment in a great locality of Ponta Delgada or the whole island.

It is a really nice place to stay, clean, with a lovely terrace. It has a kitchen with everything you’d need for a couple of days. The location was great, near to the airport and other attractions and places in the island. The only thing is, I would rather recommend it for couples than for three persons.

Overall, everything is good. The House is new and well treated with good furniture and utilities. Nice location, close to the ocean coast and center of the city. The owner Raquel is very nice and helpful.

The level of humidity is really high in the house therefore there is almost always bad smell of mold. I understand that the humidity in the island is high, but it would be nice to have an air dryer because air conditioning doesn’t help at all.

I liked everything: the style, the place, the way to get th key. Thank you for the cookies, the crib for our son and for your care. For the guest: it’s better to get the salt and oil with you, there wasn’t in the space

The host was very helpful, we communicated via WhatsApp. Even though the air in the apartment was extremely humid (I mean it had a strong, unpleasant musty smell which has been taken over by all of our clothes) the layout was comfortable.

It's a pity that there were no spices in the kitchen, not even table salt - it would be a cheap added value that would greatly facilitate the guests' lives (especially during Christmas when all grocery stores are closed). The area around the apartman is a bit industrial, but it was no surprise, could be checked on Google Maps. However, it proved to be a challenge for the taxi drivers to find the address. On a rainy day the taxi got stuck in the wet grass/mud in front of the entrance, so the driver had to call for another car (so we had to wait for another 20 minutes).

Belem Lodge is functional, modern and with air conditioning. Well located to go to all part of the islands, proximity of airport and next to a road with good restaurants. Very good and friendly communications and instructions provided by whatsapp. Confortable bed. Welcome gifts.

Compared to all other accommodations we had, the immediate environment was not super nice and property has no view (between walls which is good for security but feels a bit special) but as we were outside visiting most of the time it was ok.
