Modern Apartment Bica dos Olhos

The place is amazing and the host is very friendly. We were welcomed warmly and the host helped us a lot. Both apartments we stayed in were great. The first one was exactly as we wanted and the second was old but a lot bigger and it was very comfortable.

The boiler was not working when we arrived and we had to relocate to another accomodation. The hosts were helpful and we understood that these things sometimes happen unfortunately. In the end everything worked out fine.

The apartment is spacious. The neighborhood seemed very safe and we really liked how close the Time out market was. The owner was very kind through email, but we didn't meet her. The washing machine came in handy because of the children and the kitchen was well eqiped.

The downside was the mattress on the double bed. Also the couch was not comfortable. We were five people, and there were not enough chairs for us at the dining table. The living and dining room is very poorly lit.

Portuguese sweets as a welcome was nice!

Very central, perfect location. The communication with the hosts/property manager was very easy and efficient.

The apartment needs a bit of renovations as you could tell some previous tenants did break or chip a few things here and there (eg the bathroom door). Moreover, there seems to be a sewage issue (our guess) as there was a bad and persistent odour in the flat (maybe also from a not-well-maintained air conditioning, worth having a look).

Couldn’t sleep properly as you could feel the bed springs, mattresses need to be replaced. Also there was a lot of noise from the upstairs apartment which went on all through the night.

Good sized apartment for a family of 5. We have 3 kids. They prepared the sofabed ready to sleep in for our kids. The apartment looks better in actual than in the photos. Owner easy to talk to.
