Welcome to Alcântara Apartment

The apartment is located in a nice area called Alcantara, there are a few cool bars and the city centre is walking distance. The host was very responsive and nice, when we messaged her about hte issues in the apartment, and though she wasn't able to fix the issues, she offered to cover the tourist tax for us as a compensation.

The apartment is simply not worth the money. We paid close to 500 euros for 5 nights for 2 people. First of all, there was no way to pick up the keys autonomously: the host had to meet us and since we arrived late in the day, they asked us to pay 30 euros for late check in. Thankfully, we had friends in Lisbon who picked up the keys for us. As soon as we walked into the building, a very annoying sound of parrots started to echo across the building -- turned out neighbours kept their birds on the common staircase. When I complained about this to the owner, she said "It’s a typical neighborhood with typical neighbors. You can find other more prime locations but the prices are very different, much higher." Moreover, the whole apartment reeked of stale water and sewage, so much on some nights it was difficult to sleep. It also hadn't been cleaned very well before our arrival, especially the bathroom (see photos). And the cherry on top: on our last two nights we found two huge cockroaches in the building, one downstairs and the other just. in front of the apartment door. If you are looking for a relaxed vacation in Lisbon, I do not recommend this place.

The host was really nice and the apartment was cute. Although it is not really close to the center you have a lot of busses and trains that will take you there quickly. One day my friend and I walked from Alfama to the apartment, so if you like walking it is not that far away. :)

Very nice appartment, better than the pictures actually. Nice host. Very clean.

Pillows were a little to flat for my taste. Lamps hung pretty low so kept bumping into them.

centrally located. just perfect for two people. we had a great time and we’re really happy with accommodations and communication with our host.

Spacious, nice one-bedroom apartment with full kitchenware. Not too far from the airport but quiet and comfortable. Walking distance to Lidl supermarket.
