Feel at Home - Largo do Paço

This apartment is lovely. It's obviously new/refurbished. Everything was very clean! When you enter you go through an entrance that passes a tiny shop that sells cigarettes, lottery tickets, etc and there is a restaurant straight ahead in the back beside an elevator - that takes you up to the apartment. For those of you that cook - a full kitchen - stove with 4 burners and an oven. There's a microwave, Nestlé Dolce Gusto coffee machine, iron/ironing board. All knives, forks, plates, glasses, cooking utensils were available. Nice size bed...could have done with some higher quality bedding - sheets and feather comforter or duvet to compliment the appeal and standard of the apartment. Sofa flips out to make a small bed - and bedding was in the drawers under the TV. This apartment is definitely good for one person or a couple. There is no separate bedroom - it is open to the living room which might be ok for parents with a young kid, but not for any kind of privacy. Also, there is no indication of any central heating/cooling or air conditioning/heating - consider this in the hot or cold months! For me it was fine as the weather wasn't at either extreme. Also there is no table and chairs to eat or do work - again, didn't bother me personally, but something to consider. There's a lovely 'standing room balcony' that overlooks the Plaza and pedestrian street. Perfect for anyone that smokes. Lots of bars, restaurants, shops around the area. It is a very safe area - for any solo travelers concerned about that. Self check-in with code for a lockbox - sent to me the day of check in. I'd absolutely stay here again - if the weather was right!
