Sintra Wine Apartment

Excellent location. Close to train, restaurants and shopping. Very quaint section of Sintra. Apartment was just like pictures. Clean and spacious!

Need to leave more towels as they didn’t dry quickly.

The hosts, Susana & Ricardo, were both very friendly & helpful The apartment was very clean & comfortable & I wished we had been able to stay longer The location was walking distance from some of the major attractions as well as the railway station

Really nice welcome by the host with lots of great tips for our time in Sintra. The location is amazing for exploring Sintra by foot. Just be aware of the nearby train station which can be a bit noisy. But the bed rooms have the windows to the other side, so thats no problem.

The only negative were some upstairs neighbours who made a lot of noise one night.

The location was very good as it is 1 minute walk from the train station and a few minutes from major bus stops covering all routes into town and other sites such as Pena Palace. It is also only an easy 10 to 15 minute stroll into the centre of Sintra. There are lots of excellent restaurants within 2 to 5 minutes walk of the apartment. It is well equipped and the host Susannah very nice and helpful.

The only downside to the apartment is proximity to the road. You cannot open the bedroom windows without risking someone being able to enter the apartment without your knowledge. There is a lot of traffic noise at night, however, you cannot have a location so good for all transport and access to restaurants, shops and cafes, without noise.

Beautiful apartment a two minute walk from the Sintra train station. This was a wonderful place for our family of 3 (it sleeps 4) to stay while we visited the sights. The owner met us as soon as we arrived to provide the keys; he gave us excellent recommendations for meals (try Incomum; you won't regret it) and sights, and a welcome bottle of wine. The 2-bedroom apartment was comfortable, clean, lovely, with good beds and shower, espresso machine, and was a very nice place to hang after a day of sightseeing. It is close to several terrific restaurants (both casual and fancy) and the train station, while also being just a wee a bit away from the main press of people visiting Sintra. You can walk to all of the palaces (get tickets in advance, even the ones that you don't think you need to) and museums in the area along lovely roads (or grab a lift from a local driver). Great location and really nice apartment. We loved this place.

Road noise next to the bedrooms is problematic for light sleepers

Great location to explore Sintra. Kind gesture to leave a bottle of wine for us and our hosts catered for our toddler really well.

I hadn't quite appreciated how close to the train station the flat is. We could hear trains come and go quite loudly. It wasn't a problem but it made sitting outside less likely.
