We liked being in the village of Santa Luzia, a quiet town on the water. It was only a 5-minute drive to Tavira. Amelia met us outside the building when we arrived and gave us a nice walkthrough the apartment. We slept well on the mattresses and it was nice to have a washing machine. We requested dishwasher tablets and they were outside on the door knob the next morning. Having garage praying was an added bonus.

The refrigerator wasn’t working, there was low water pressure in the bidet, and the internet was intermittent. When Fernando was notified he acknowledged and apologized, there had been recent issues with the internet in the area.

Condo was spacious and wifi was good. Location was good for what we wanted. We explored the area on foot and by bike. We found some nice bike paths. You could bike from Santa Luzia into Tavira or even into Olhao Santa Luzia has a nice waterfront with many restaurants and a walking path or bike plus you can catch a ferry or water taxi from the water front it go on excursions from there as well

Bedding and Living room pillows appeared a bit dated. They could use a refresh. Stairs to apartment outside got wet during rain and we’re slippery Heating unit very noisy

Location, relaxing ambiance say from the tourist crowds at eg. Albufeira, Lagos etc. Nice swimming pool. Bed is comfortable. Hygienic

Couch was not so comfortable as bed.

Apartment was large, Wifi was good

Apartment was not very clean, very damp and musty smelling All bath towels supplied were damp and wet. Cover on bed and cushion covers were filthy, Covers on sofa and cushions were damp and dirty. Silverfish in the bedding and in the wardrobe. Building is old and run down. Very little hot water in shower- maximum of 3 minutes before it runs cold.

Santa Luzia is a perfect place for an out of season break (we visited in February 2024) and Santa Luzia Dream is a comfortable, well-located apartment on the second level of a small three-level block. It has all that you need including heating/aircon, washing machine, dishwasher, comfortable twin beds, powerful over-bath shower and underground parking (probably not ideal for large vehicles). It has a pool, which we didn't use and a lift, which was out of service during our stay. It's located close to bars and restaurants, as well as a mini-market and a larger supermarket. It is a short walk from the sea, but the sandy Barril Beach is about a 30 minute walk (although it can be accessed by car then tourist train).

the apartment was equipped with everything needed. location is excellent. the apartment has a lot of space for two people. Good value for the money.
