It all begins with communication. When you usually book a place, you get messages like "Hope you enjoy your stay", etc. Here, it feels like you're constantly harassed with don't do this, don't do that, they give you the whole list of reasons why your booking can be cancelled and how they monitor everything on cameras. Seems like different people reply to messages and pinpoint it to mysterious "property owners". I asked for an invoice that included my dog fees (which are ridiculously high for what you get, and they say that it's Booking who puts the price, which of course is not true, because they send you the suspicious link to pay with no evidence it's official), and I still have no invoice. I even contacted customer service about that with no luck. So be aware, the property just wants your money. The place is not as clean as they say it is. As soon as I arrived and left my shoes near the door, I got dirty feet from walking on the carpet. Make sure you wash the glasses before you use them, too. The place is made for making money, but without considering customers' convenience. I mean, you sure have a microwave, kettle, toaster in the kitchen, BUT you have one free socket there, and no way the microwave cable is long enough to reach it. So if you wanna use it, you have to carry it to the sink and play LEGO to find a way to use it. If you're up for heavy lifting each time you want to heat your food, that's the kitchen for you. The worst thing is ANTS. They're everywhere. Not only the floor, but all over the kitchen, bathroom, even the sofa. I know it can be a problem in Portugal when it gets too hot, but at least leave a spray in the apartment or something! They just ignore the problem, because "that's a common thing". And when I asked the neighbors, they had no such problem in their place...
