FLH Porto Modern Flat

Location is amazing just around the corner of everything. Very cute pretty apartment!

The only thing I can mention is that hand wash and shower gel was missing and when you just come for a weekend it would be nice if that would be there.

Great location, friendly staff and good value for money. Had everything we needed for the weekend in Porto. Definitely worth a look!

Couple of points (one definitely not the apartments fault). 1. The lock to the room didn't easily shut. You wouldn't be able to get in without the key, but it did make us feel uncomfortable. 2. The leaving instructions state the key should be left in the apartment when leaving, but we found if the building front door was locked you would get stuck in the hallway (not great when we had to leave at 5.30am.) 3. The central courtyard acts as a wind tunnel, and the wind really kicked up a noise which meant sleep was disrupted (as I said, not the fault of the apartment but not ideal for light sleepers)

The bathroom was dirty, the shower glass. When I went to take a shower, the shower was clogged and it was horrible. But it was night time, so I called the staff to let them know and the next day they came to clean and fix the bathroom, but the bathroom still had a bad smell. From the sewage itself, I think. And I really didn't like the experience of a mezzanine room. It's a bit uncomfortable. but overall I liked it for the location.

Bed mattress’s were horrible. Slept on the hide a bed couch

I got a full refund because of a problem with a leak and an overall unfortunate stay. But the staff was very nice about it and tried to solve the issue.

The beds were very weirdly built into a sort of stage, with very thin mattresses. Noise is a problem, you can hear and FEEL the neighbors going up and down the stairs or simply walking around the upper apartment.

Good location

Many things that make this stay not advisable. Things the hosts cannot change: - The flat is very dark and loud, you can hear other people walking around the building in the corridor as well as above. Things the Hosts can change: - the flat needs serious renovation, many broken items, such as the tap handles, the shower clogs, the mirror frame and especially the barricade around the bed is flimsy and broken in parts. - the flat can do with a good clean - Very poor ventilation and lighting, it is consistently dark and grim. - The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the sleeping area you cannot stand and have to crawl to get around - no caring touch, no coffee, no tea or anything like that. I would not recommend staying here as I believe there are more affordable and better looked after places in the area.

Good location

Description and photos are misleading, no city views and instead the views were into another building and grey walls on either side. Floor boards creaked and could hear everything in the building, hallway light lit up the flat whenever someone walked past the room (regularly). Beds were very uncomfortable. The flat is very cheaply designed.
