We had a great stay at Casa do Quintalao. Our room was perfectly clean and the hosts were kind and warm. We stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed for longer to spend time in the garden which is lovingly maintained. We arrived by bicycle and were able to store them in the large open air entrance passage way, which is locked from the street. Beware that the town is small and I believe that there are only two restaurants. On the night that we were there one of them was shut, so the other restaurant was quite busy for dinner!

The host is super friendly and let us check in 2 hours in advance, that was super nice. And you can freely access the garden and rest there.

Sometimes in October in Portugal some bedsheets or pillow cases don't dry fast enough and it doesn't smell that good in that case. It happened with a part of our bedsheet. But the rest was so nice that it was okay.

The room was super clean and the bed comfortable. I appreciated relaxing in Maria's beautiful garden after my day of hiking on the Fisherman's Trail. There is a Spar nearby and I loved my dinner at the vegetarian restaurant which was also very close.
