Top-floor 2 BR holiday home with sea view and pool

Great apartment in great location. Close to lovely beach and several good restaurants as well as access to a pool with pleasant area to sit with lots of loungers. The apartment is well kitted out and had everything we needed. Sarah did everything she could to ensure we had an enjoyable stay and was very friendly and accommodating.

Everything location was brilliant flat had everything you could wish for and I was there a month and I didn’t find anything I needed that wasn’t there. Sarah was so helpful especially with watsapp with location from airport. She was non intrusive but helped immediately with any questions. Pool was fantastic quiet always loads of beds shade and sun. I’d recommend this flat 100% as a home from home. Everything was simple. I was alone for a week during the month Praia da luz is really safe and I walked about in the town and beach with no worries. Loads of good restaurants. Supermarket 5 min walk and if you have a car Lidl in Lagos about 15 mins only away but you don’t need a car. Pre booked cab from faro €85 it is an hour journey so good value🔭

Pillows could be a bit better but I’m being picky as bed was comfy

Location was excellent, close to facilities of Praia da Luz with its fantastic beaches, restaurants and amenities. No need to hire a car if you do not wish to explore further afield. We had a car (lots of free easily available car parking at property) and went to many of the more remote west coast beaches.

Although Sarah (the host), acting on behalf of owners, was pleasant, attentive and helpful. However, given the cost of this property we had anticipated a higher standard of overall finish to apartment (a couple of missing light bulbs in the kitchen and also one in the bathroom (this bulb was replaced as soon as we notified Sarah), inability to lock doors to either balcony along with issues with shutters, clothes hooks on doors broken/missing, confusion about whether the Euro 60 we paid for cleaning was for a mid-stay clean (turns out that it was not, it was for the clean after we had left the property), however Sarah did kindly agree to lend us a couple of beach towels and to change our bathroom towels and bedding after our first week. Kitchen was well equipped but freezer was frosted up on our arrival, we were told due to the popularity of the apartment and lack of opportunity to defrost between visitors. As apartment is at the far end of one of the buildings, on the top floor, when the weather was windy (frequently) the apartment was particularly impacted, so adding a warning in the apartment's manual/welcome pack to state that doors may slam and to take care could be helpful for future visitors. Pool was very pleasant, there's plenty of sun beds and there was also a lifeguard too for those who may have younger children. Garden and site generally were well kept and clean, with facilities at the large pool good, including showers beside the pool and separate washrooms/showers too. Ideal for families with school-aged children; we all felt very safe and had a relaxing time generally. Kayaking trip to see Benagil caves is highly recommended - book for the 7am slot as it's busier as the day progresses - well worth the money and truly spectacular.

Sarah, the host, is great. She came by and made sure we understood how everything worked, gave us restaurant recommendations, and was very attentive. The apartment is large, has a lift which we require being older, and except for the lack of more heat for our winter stay was very comfortable. Fortunately, the weather was pretty decent.

These units are apparently designed for summer occupancy, so having one heater for the whole place is not sufficient although it worked well. For summer, I imagine it is a great spot. We liked Luz as a town very much. Less crowded than most of the Algarve.
