The price point was the main reason why we booked, and it’s an economical option for the area. The other reason was it allowed pets. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and a pack of cleaning products to use during the stay. Towels were clean, and linen and bit old, but clean, nonetheless. Quiet area, next to the camping grounds.

The person managing the check-ins and communication after you book is not avaiable, they may even pick up the phone but say they don’t have time to answer you and ask you to talk to the bot on their website (that has zero ability to answer anything beyond a very limited script). They will ignore your messages too. That is just unacceptable. We felt unsupported and ignored just before and during our stay - we sent a single message and didn’t get a response, and because the person had been so evasive the days before we arrived, we thought calling was probably going to not be helpful at all either. You’ll see similar feedback from other guests in the other reviews. Hire more people, offer your guests proper support. We wanted a second set of keys because one of us would need to stay back often - never got a response which meant we were quite limited and needed to plan for key exchanges. One of the reasons we booked this place was because it allowed pets, we have cats. On the one call we managed to get a very hasty response from the property manager they said it was actually a ground floor - which isn’t mentioned anywhere, I am glad we decided against bringing them with us on the last minute, but we could’ve rented a better property if we knew we wouldn’t be able to take them. Better pictures of what the house is like and the floor the apartment is on would be better. The house is dark, but we didn’t spend much time there, so it’s fine. Air conditioners smell of damp, bathroom had actual dust fuzz coming out of the circulation shafts. Bedrooms are fine, but one of them has a terrible mattress (the biggest one), my mom had a lot of back pain during the stay. Ours was ok, but you could feel every move from your partner. Mattresses are inexpensive things these days, it’d be good to have at least one of them replaced. House was generally clean, but more run down than the images show.

Good A/C in each room .

1/We booked 6 people, there were not enough sheets available at our arrival. One of us had to sleep one night without sheets. 2/We were told 2 beds and one sofa bed for 6 but the sofa bed was only for one person. the second slept on a uncomfortable sponge bed on the floor. 3/Expresso coffee machine was broken but is was left in the kitchen. Not knowing that fact we bought expensive Nescafe capsules that were not able to use. The host was contacted twice about the fact and no reaction from him. 4/ We stayed at 6 for 7 nights and no cleaning was done / offered during the period.

Na geland te zijn in Faro kregen we een telefoontje dat we een ander appartement zouden krijgen. Blijkbaar waren er problemen met het geboekte appartement. Afspraak was dat als we in Monte Gordo aangekomen waren ik zou bellen. Er zou dan iemand ter plekke ( in dit geval hotel Alba) komen om ons naar het nieuwe appartement te brengen etc. Ik moet zeggen dat deze persoon er snel was en dat we een geweldig appartement konden gaan betrekken. Voor een volgende keer zou ik dit appartement weer graag willen hebben. Dus slot conclusie : alles perfect geregeld.
